Core Systems

Folia 1.21.4

Region-threaded multithreading engine. Distributes chunk processing across multiple CPU cores instead of a single thread. Reduces TPS lag during world loads, mob spawning, and player activity surges. Enables 2-4x throughput compared to Paper for similar hardware.

Handles entity AI, redstone, and chunk updates in parallel regions

Custom Vanilla Generation

Vanilla-compatible terrain generation with hand-tuned biome distribution. Generates classic Minecraft terrain without fancy terrain generators. Avoids floating islands, custom structures, and overhauls. Produces natural mountains, plains, forests, and water features.

Uses seed: same across all worlds for consistency

Anticheat System

Minimal anti-cheat detection. Primarily catches obvious speed hacks, flight exploits, and suspicious movement patterns. Does not flag legitimate high-ping play or movement quirks. Focuses on blatant client modifications rather than exhaustive detection.

Monster Spawn Controller

Per-biome and per-region spawn tuning. Increases mob density in dark areas for challenging survival experience. Prevents spawn camping via minimum height requirements. Respects natural spawn rates in normal mode but increases difficulty during night cycles.

Entity cap: 300 mobs per chunk (prevents lag)

Communication & Moderation

Chat System

Core command and communication system. Manages which commands are visible to each player based on permissions. Supports /whisper for private messages, /msg for direct chat, and public global chat. Integrates with permission system to control gameplay access.

Chat Filter

Content moderation system. Blocks banned words and detects spam patterns (repeated messages, caps-lock abuse, symbol spam). Automatically censors inappropriate language while maintaining natural conversation. Rate-limits players who violate chat policies.

  • Vanilla survival mode with minimal interference
  • Dupe exploits allowed (if it doesn't cause server issues)
  • Travel exploits allowed (if they cause lag, I will patch them)
  • Mob farms, grinders, and automatic systems
  • Player-built shops and trading posts
  • PVP and combat with no restrictions

What's Disabled

  • Server-crashing exploits (crash physics, TNT duping lag)
  • Nether roof and nether void access

Philosophy: The Continuum's modification stack prioritizes stability and player freedom. We avoid heavy-handed rules while maintaining server integrity. Plugins are minimal, transparent, and designed to enhance rather than restrict gameplay.

Player-driven voting system allowing players to skip the night cycle by majority vote (use /voteskip or /votenight).
